Concierto barroco, Escenes L’Auditori, 2025. Stage direction, dramaturgy and scenography.
(Conductor: Dani Espasa / ESMUC Ensemble)
Concierto barroco is a musical and scenic exploration of the novel of the same title, written by Alejo Carpentier in 1974. In a dialogue-free staging, a series of cultural objects serve as a narrative thread, alongside the performance of different musical works drawn from the novel. The musicians themselves, portrayed as the composers and characters who appear in the novel, become the protagonists of an exercise that seeks to reconnect the musical works with their original contexts, dismantling the historical sources behind the fictional device that allows Carpentier to imagine the gaps in the official narrative. Dejós deth bòsc, Teatre Estudi, 2024. Scenography and lighting.
(Dir. Jordi Oriol / Text: Alberto Conejero / Sound design: Carles Pedragosa / with Hannah Bilsky and Montse Escolano)
An installation unfolds in space as a large musical instrument. The two settings of the story, the house and the forest, deconstruct one another: the materials of the house — beams, doors, furniture, pipes — have been dismantled and suspended in space following the pattern of a forest, which the performers strike and rub, creating a live musical composition.

Eliza (chamber opera), commissioned by Gran Teatre del Liceu, 2024. Stage direction.
(Score: Ferran Cruixent / Libretto: Pau Miró / Oh!pera 2024 edition)
The audience observes, through a sheet of tulle, a room without doors or windows. Inside, a man and a woman engage in a dialogue, in a delicate operatic duet. Based on a rereading of Miró’s libretto and Cruixent’s score, the staging articulates a reflection on surveillance technologies. See the full page

Heavy-Metal, site-specific performance at the former La Model prison, produced by MACBA and Festival Grec 2026. Mise-en-scène and installation.
(Musical composition and direction: ASIA / Curator: Sabel Gavaldon)
A tribute to the enigmatic musical action by Carles Santos and Pere Portabella during their imprisonment at La Model, of which no documentary record remains. A static procession of eight tubas, led by the violinist and composer, rises above six white pedestals arranged along the prison’s fourth gallery. Through sound and the resonance of the space, the eight musicians process towards an irretrievable past without moving from their positions.

Desplaçats. Installation based on a silk blouse made by Mercè Rodoreda, for the exhibition Displaced. Rodoreda and Fenosa. Solidarity and Resilience in a Timeless Loop at the Apel·les Fenosa Museum, 2026.
(Artist: Pol Roig / Curator: Nekane Aramburu)
Catalan writer Mercè Rodoreda made this shirt for Nicole Fenosa during her exile in Paris, where she sewed as a means of survival. The shirt, preserved in the museum, serves as the starting point for an exhibition that explores exile and the relationship between Rodoreda and the Fenosa family.
A cotton thread hangs from the shirt and runs through the exhibition space, connecting the artworks. Along its path, small alterations, magnified through magnifying glasses, form a sequence of almost imperceptible events, translating into space the minimal gesture of constructing a narrative. Domestic gestures, invisible labour, and material remnants become places from which to piece a history back together.

Ofrena Musical, ARTeFACte, 2024. Theatrical action by Erika Michi and Pol Roig.
(Corretja programme with La Mansió d’El Pumarejo)
Ofrena Musical revolves around an artefact in the form of a triptych. Traditionally a bearer of medieval iconographic programmes, this support structure abandons its inert state as the artists intervene in and activate it. Pol Roig and Erika Michi deploy mechanisms inspired by trick theatre and automata, combining the origins of moving images with digital technology. Ari Cardozo’s live sound composition drives the action, turning the performers into activators of a dimensionless space. See the full page
