Pol Roig Valldosera
Pol Roig Valldosera (Barcelona, 2000). Trained in scenography at Institut del Teatre, his practice extends beyond the performing arts and explores the intersections between spatial design, music, visual arts, and installation, with a particular interest in sound and light as tools for articulating discourse.
He combines his work as a spatial and lighting designer with the creation of his own stage works, which always stem from a visual and sonic dramaturgy, including Concierto barroco (Escenes L’Auditori, 2025), featuring orchestral music ranging from Vivaldi to Ligeti; the newly composed micro-opera Eliza (as part of the Oh!pera programme at Gran Teatre del Liceu, 2024); and the performance Ofrena Musical (Festival ARTefACTE, 2024), based on a sound piece by Ari Cardozo.
As a scenographer, he has presented his projects at venues and festivals including Sala Beckett, Festival Grec, Gran Teatre del Liceu, L’Auditori, Mercat de les Flors, and Temporada Alta, and has collaborated with a diverse range of creators, including Lucia del Greco, Nao Albet, Ester Guntín, Ana Morales and Toni Casares. In 2023, he designed the Catalan Pavilion at the Prague Quadrennial of Performance Design and Space. In the field of live music, he has developed designs for tours by artists including Guitarricadelafuente, Amaia, Asia Violin, and Damoridemort.
